More about the advantages of chainflex
chainflex advantages

Most cables are rarely seen. They are protected against unfavourable surroundings. The application areas are primarily restricted to seabeds, masts where they function as so-called overhead cables, or underground applications. In contrast to electrical engineering, the term is becoming more and more popular in communication and information technology.
In contrast to concealed cables, we encounter exposed cables much more frequently in everyday life. Similar to concealed cables, these (usually multi-core) cables are also used for energy or data transfer. In addition to high-voltage cables as well-known and visible cable types, cables for connecting TVs to game consoles or for charging a mobile phone are common everyday examples.

Sensor for a smart cable | i.Sense CF.P

This sensor has an "affinity" for cables.

For cables that run in an energy chain, a particularly intensive "look" is required:
  • The CF.P sensor measures the tensile forces on the cables
  • Permanently increased tensile forces can lead to cable damage and in the worst case, cable fire
  • The CF.P sensor identifies maintenance that has been carried out incorrectly on the cables
