Up to 60,000 bottles per hour

Smooth automation when unscrewing/uncorking bottles thanks to lubrication-free bearings

Profile

  • What was needed: drylin® R linear plain bearing, drylin® W guide elements, iglidur ® plain bearing
  • Requirements: The bearing solutions must always be lubrication-free in the various application areas and have a long service life even at very high cycle rates. They should be easy to clean, insensitive to corrosion and resistant to aggressive cleaning agents.
  • Sector: Beverage industry
  • Success for the customer: The linear and rotary plain bearings help out in a wide variety of areas: They are extremely wear-resistant, operate under high forces and are completely lubrication- and maintenance-free. Overall, they significantly reduce operating costs.

Solution

Figure 1: The drylin® linear plain bearings consist of a cylindrical aluminium housing in which a replaceable sliding film is inserted.

Image 2: Patented innovation: a system for automatically removing the neck sleeves from screw caps.

Figure 3: Maintenance-free iglidur® bearings are used in the toggle lever systems that grip the bottles.

Image 4: In the neck sleeve remover, drylin® W linear guide systems are used in the bonnet adjusters. They are also maintenance-free and insensitive to the cleaning agents used in the beverage industry.

Figure 5: Rink's programme includes automated systems for emptying bottles. The valves in these systems are equipped with cylindrical drylin® plain bearings.
