Product description
Lead screw axis with integrated metal cover

The drylin Protect linear axes ZLX-806016-PT (toothed belt) and SLX-806016-PT (screw) offer maximum reliability thanks to a fully integrated metal cover that protects the guide, bearings and drive from dust, dirt and particles. Combined with the new drylin W high-profile rail made of clear anodised aluminium, this creates a robust, easy-to-install and fully enclosed system solution – ideal for automation, work areas and machine enclosures.

▲ Tech up:
Multiple grooves for flexible mounting on B-profiles and components

▼ Cost down:
Greater reliability and longer service life. Fewer faults, less wear, reliable operation

■ Proof:
Tested in the igus laboratory: ZLX-806016-PT, stroke length 1,000 mm, speed 700 mm/s, required cycles of >500,000 achieved

● Sustainability:
100% lubrication- and maintenance-free, hygienic and quiet

The new drylin Protect linear axes ZLX-806016-PT (toothed belt) and SLX-806016-PT (spindle) have been developed for applications where dust, dirt and particles must be reliably kept away from the linear system. The integrated metal protective strip completely encloses the guide, protecting the mechanics, bearings and drive from external influences. In combination with the new drylin W high-profile rail made of clear anodised aluminium, this creates a robust, easy-to-install and fully enclosed linear unit – ideal for work areas, machine enclosures, production cells and automation tasks. Thanks to its sophisticated groove geometry, the high-profile rail offers maximum design freedom: it can be mounted in a cantilevered configuration, is compatible with standard profile structures and is ideally suited for the integration of additional components. Form-fitting double-bearing housings or pre-assembled carriage variants are available as a modular system – fully protected, quiet and lubrication-free.

Advantages of the Protect System
  • All-round protection thanks to an integrated metal cover: Protects the entire linear guide from dust, dirt and particles
  • Greater reliability and longer service life: Fewer faults, reduced wear, reliable operation
  • Increased mechanical robustness: Enclosed design, rigid high-profile construction, integrated guide technology
  • Reduced risk of injury: Protection against contact thanks to complete coverage of moving components.
  • The metal strip completely encloses the profile, preventing small parts or product residues from entering the guide
  • Visual privacy: Ideal for machine enclosures, cleanroom workstations and handling zones

Advantages of the drylin W linear guide profile
  • Corrosion-resistant and easy to install: anodised aluminium, stroke lengths up to 1,000 mm
  • Fully protected – internal guide: invisible, quiet, protected from external influences
  • Flexible integration: Numerous slots for connections to B-profiles, accessories or add-on modules
  • Modular design: Double bearing housings or pre-assembled carriages in three lengths
  • Ideal for combination with SLX and ZLX linear modules
  • 100% lubrication- and maintenance-free: Hygienic, low-noise, long service life Service life online
