Selective laser sintering (SLS) material: iglidur® i230
The iglidur i230 laser sintering powder is a further all-rounder among the iglidur SLS materials. In contrast to iglidur i3, however, it is designed for warmer applications and can withstand long-term temperatures of up to 110°C. The material is also 80% more wear-resistant than PA12. Of all iglidur SLS materials, iglidur i230 has the highest flexural strength and is also electrostatically dissipative.

Good to know: iglidur i230 does not contain PTFE and is therefore not affected by future PFAS regulations. You can find the corresponding PFAS test report in the "Downloads" tab.
When to use it?
- If a PTFE-free material is needed
- If the long-term application temperature is between 80°C and 110°C
- If components with high mechanical strength (including structural components) are required
- If components with ESD specifications are necessary that withstand an application temperature of up to 110°C
When do I not need it?
- If components with higher wear resistance are needed that withstand an application temperature of up to 80°C (→ iglidur i3)
- If components with ESD specification are required that withstand an application temperature of up to 80°C (→ iglidur i8-ESD or iglidur i9-ESD)
- For worm wheel applications (→ iglidur i6-PL)
- If the application requires a food grade material (→ iglidur i6)
- If the application temperature is higher than 110°C in the long term (→ iglidur A350 or iglidur RW370)
