A stop slide module on an automatic cake decorating device stops and centers the cake. Two 1" indexing belts feed the cake, whilst the stop slide module stops the cake in front of the sugar icing and decorating machine. The previous design was an up/down lift stop slider that used a compact square compressed air cylinder with twist protection. The design was not able to withstand the impact, and the sugar icing made a mess of the bars. The new design is a flip-flop type stop slider, which absorbs the mechanical impact, and the plastic bearing is suitable for the corrosive sugar icing environment.
