Quickly detect line failures ... quite simply with the CF.D module

NEW now with event log and Profinet Ethercat capability: i.Sense CF.D module determines the exact position in the event of transmission problems and maintenance measures can be initiated quickly and precisely.

superwise teaser
The new CF.D module is looped into the dynamically loaded Ethernet bus cable to be monitored and checks the transmission properties of the cable on the cores used. In the event of a fault, the position of the fault location in the cable is determined so that maintenance measures can be initiated quickly and precisely in the correct segment.

In the event of irregularities occurring, the cable length to the fault location and thus the exact position is determined. Maintenance measures can then be initiated quickly and precisely in the right segment. This means that time-consuming troubleshooting can be avoided.
Maintenance work is therefore no longer based on guesswork, but on solid, precise data.

The superwise service - simply explained

superwise Basic

All system data is displayed and a service life forecast is created based on your information and the well-known algorithms of the tried-and-tested online service life calculator. In good time before the end of the safe operating time of the igus® e-chain system®, the igus® sales department will make you an offer to replace the system!

superwise Silver

The smart plastics condition monitoring components reliably prevent total failure caused by broken chains, blockage, or cable damage. In the event of a shutdown, you will be informed immediately by e-mail or SMS, and the igus® sales department will also be notified so that fast deliveries can be arranged if necessary. All reports are saved with measured values in the portal and can be evaluated at a later point in time for diagnostic purposes. In addition to the basic service, the system optionally records a movement profile, allowing for a more precise service life calculation or service planning.

superwise Gold

Additional sensors are installed in your system, which determine the actual wear of the e-chain systems® or cables. This status information is available to you 24/7 via the i.Cee portal and enables you to plan long-term maintenance and retrofits. Depending on the i.Cee hardware in use, sensor data can be saved for later evaluation. The i.Cee systems are designed to detect unusual operating conditions at an early stage and to generate preventive information in good time!

Customer applications worldwide

i.Sense EC.P examples in the overview In international automotive production, the global crane industry, or regional wastewater plants: i.Sense EC.P systems are successfully used wherever maintenance costs are saved and machine downtime prevented:

To the application overview

You determine the manner of data transfer and access

Data transfer within your local corporate network (i.Cee:local) or on a secure cloud (i.Cee:cloud)

i.Cee:local

i.Cee:local Your data do not leave your company network at any time, since the i.Cee software communicates only within networks of your choice. Options range from an energy chain within a single machine to a machine park and your own output interface.

i.Cee:cloud

i.Cee:cloud In this internet-based solution, the data take an intermediate stop at the i.Cee.net, a so-called data concentrator. The i.Cee.net is at your location, allowing you to stop or adjust data exchange with the cloud at any time.

Smart machine data acquisition ...

... for predictive maintenance concepts

The i.Cee module can be integrated into predictive maintenance concepts in a number of ways. From preventive service management, which schedules regular maintenance depending on use, to location-independent fault management, which uses various mobile channels to immediately report any unforeseen change. All information is aggregated in a modern dashboard, online or offline in the local network, depending on the customer's requirements.

White paper on optimising overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)

Clarifies the distinction between condition monitoring and predictive maintenance

This free white paper explains:

  • What igus® condition monitoring (i.Sense) means
  • What igus® predictive maintenance (i.Cee) means
  • What technology is behind both systems
  • What the two systems offer industrial energy supply

More time for your own ideas ...

... thanks to less downtime with igus i.Cee

In automotive production, the line never stops. Collaborating robot arms for assembly and welding are in continuous use, as are all the components that supply them with energy and data. It is in just such environments that intelligent concepts such as predictive maintenance make the most sense. For a new Industry 4.0 project or for efficiency-driven retrofitting, our smart plastics solutions are available as universal modular systems and can be individually adapted to any system.
